Intresserad av lite udda snäckor som t.ex. Taia Naticoides

Har du något ovanligt (som inte är med i min signatur) att sälja så skicka gärna ett pm!

Letar speciellt efter Taia Naticoides, Filopaludina sumatrensis, Thiara winteri, Viviparis malleatus samt nya färger av Tylomelania.

Taia naticoides (Piano snäcka):

  • needs a PH of over 7,5 and should be kept in an aquarium of min 50cm.

  • shouldn’t be kept with räkor or other filtrating snäckor since they will eat away the food the snäcka needs.

  • can be kept with fish that do not try to nibble on the snäcka, Melanoides tuberculatus or Thiara winteri or Tarebia granifera

  • is a filtrerande snäcka like a Tylomelanias. It needs powderfoder 2 per day.

               - needs sand as bottenmaterial, not grus. You should put in 2 larger stones and a bit of wood as well.

  • Most Taia naticoides starve to death because they do not get enough food.


    Filopaludina sumatrensis
    FRAKU has them.

Thiara winteri
FRAKU has them.

Viviparis malleatus

  • needs an aquarium of mindst 50 cm

  • the aquarium needs an area of fine sand or mud.

  • There should be some wood in it and a larger stone and lots of plants.

  • Do not keep them with otherPomacea or other filtrators. Do not keep them with räkor because they eat away the food the snäcka needs.

  • Make sure you have at least one male and 2 females.

Thanks a lot for the excellent descriptions! I know some of them are avalible from Fraku, used that page for reference as I tried to identify interesting species capable of breeding without saltwater. Hoped that someone on the forum would have them in stock though, since ordering from Fraku is both expensive and feels dangerous this late in the year.

Jag har försökt få tag i Filopaludina sumatrensis här i över 1 år utan att lyckas, synd att du bor i andra änden av vårt avlånga land annars hade vi kunnat sambeställa :)!!

Jag har ju tänkt beställa räkor, men tyvärr har Fraku inte dem, annars hade men ju kunnat beställa både och på en gång:(!!

Det är eländigt att bo här, tar lång tid att få posten levererad, kallt som tusan på vintern och det är svårt att hitta likasinnade att byta/sälja/köpa med :confused:

Om det seglar upp någon Frakubeställning på forumet kan vi ju försöka haka på tåget :slight_smile:

Det skulle vi kunna göra ja, snöckor klarar ju bättre att forslas runt med än räkor:D

Jag har en liten tjock snäcka som påminner om sandsnäcka men den är kort och tjock, hittade dem i ett kar på Hornbach och tiggde till mej några stycken när jag köpte fisk:D
